Apart from rescuing baby unicorns being hunted down by trans-dimensional dinosaurs, my favourite thing to do in life is to watch behind-the-scenes videos (and Megastructures on National Geographic). I find that, although sometimes not very detailed at all, seeing making-of’s help you understand various aspects of a production – and this knowledge can then help you in one way or another for your own work.

Marwan and I went out a few weeks back for a little fun shoot in London, it was cold and we couldn’t be bothered to stay out for long but we still got a couple of images. One of which was [ this ]. Surprisingly no one said a word to us as we were shooting around Waterloo station and the South Bank, but I guess that’s the good thing about British people – they mind their own business and don’t care if a potential terrorist is around. This ‘Behind the Edit’ isn’t meant to be overly detailed, but it shows you the process involved in creating the final image. I’ve skipped out on explaining how to use masks, etc, as there are enough tutorials for that on [ Google ].
